Is Hydroma Fatal To Dogs

August 23rd, 2007

If the hygroma becomes very large, then your dog needs a
surgery that involves the removal of callus. Your pet may need skin
grafting to reconstruct the affected area since a large part of skin
will be removed. In addition, your dog needs a splint to support its
leg while recovering from the surgery. The healing may take more than a
month.

Even though, hygroma does not jeopardize your dog’™s health, but early detection can prevent it from becoming severe. If you
notice any swelling on its elbow and you are not sure what causes it,
just take your dog to the veterinarian for examination.
